II Timothy:  40 COMMANDS

 

  1. Stir up the gift of God which is in thee (1:6)

 

  2. Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord (1:8a)

 

  3. Be thou partaker of the afflictions of the Gospel (1:8b)

 

  4. Hold fast the form of sound words (1:13)

 

  5. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us (1:14)

 

  6. Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2:1)

 

  7. The things that thou hast heard...commit thou to faithful men (2:2)

 

  8. Thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2:3)

 

  9. Consider what I say, and the Lord give thee understanding (2:7)

 

10. Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my Gospel (2:8)

 

11. Of these things put them in remembrance (2:14a)

 

12. Charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit (2:14b)

 

13. Study to shew thyself approved unto a God...rightly dividing the Word of Truth (2:15)

 

14. But shun profane and vain babblings (2:16)

 

15. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity (2:19)

 

16. Flee also youthful lusts (2:22a)

 

17. Follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace (2:22b)

 

18. But foolish and unlearned questions avoid (2:23)

 

19. The servant of the Lord must not strive (2:24a)

 

20. The servant of the Lord...must be gentle unto all men (2:24b)

 

21. The servant of the Lord [must be] apt to teach (2:24c)

 

22. The servant of the Lord [must be] patient (2:24d)

 

23. The servant of the Lord in meekness[must be] instructing those that oppose themselves (2:25)

 

24. This know also that in the last days perilous times will come (3:1)

 

25. From such (wicked men) turn away (3:5)

 

26. But continue thou in things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of (3:14)

 

27. Preach the Word (4:1)

 

28. Be instant in season, out of season (4:2a)

 

29. Reprove [with all longsuffering and doctrine] (4:2b)

 

30. Rebuke [with all longsuffering and doctrine] (4:2c)

 

31. Exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (4:2d)

 

32. But watch thou in all things (4:5a)

 

33. Endure afflictions (4:5b)

 

34. Do the work of an Evangelist (4:5c)

 

35. Make full proof of thy ministry (4:5d)

 

36. Do thy diligence to come unto me shortly (4:9)

 

37. Bring him (Mark) with thee (4:11)

 

38. Bring with thee (the cloak) when thou comest (4:13)

 

39. Salute Prisca and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus (4:19)

 

40. Do thy diligence to come before winter (4:21)
